Tail of the Dragon and Semi's
You hardly ever see a truck on there. And they are going so slow that its a shame.

Rode the Dragon back in August... glad we didn;t see any semis! That's just nuts!

Man they should just ban tractor-trailers from that strech of road and anything else over a certian weight limit.

Common sense is not part of this equation.

Its not the semis to watch for, the crotch rockets will run you off the road, not all but a lot of them are very careless and dangerous to slower riders.

There will normally be a vehicle out in front of the Semi's warning people about them but not always. We've seen some dangerous situations involving Trucks, or other construction company vehicles. It gets tight on the Dragon at times.

i wouldnt let a truck keep you from visiting the dragon. it well worth the trip to ride it, a buddy and me go 4 or 5 times a year and love it every time we go but i will say we dont ride the dragon everytime because you could ride roads around there that to me put the dragon to shame and there are alot of them. i think you could ride for a month solid and not see the same road twice (in a hundred mile circle).

Smart truckers don't drive The Dragon.

The trouble though, is that there are not allot of alternatives across that section of The Appalachians.
