Default Leaking master cylinder

Noticed some paint peeling around the master cylinder from the seal leaking. Is there a way to touch up the paint where it peeled up?

Join the club - I have a 08 RK and both master cylinders are seeping. Right now only the covers are peeling so I figure I have to go and buy new Chrome ones. I wish HD never switched back to DOT 4 break fluid

Replace 'em with chrome ones. The chrome ones don't leak.

Bad cap seal....my lowrider had it...dealer replaced it under warranty BTW, when you get the new one...use some blue loctite on the screws and tighten to where it is snug but the rubber gasket is not visibly squeezed.

Yea, I've read in a few places that over-tightening is the problem here. Squeezing the rubber seal out of shape.

Look at the service manual for the torque on that cap. If it is like mine it is really light. Mine kept leaking until I finally saw the torque value and loosened up the screws. No more leak.
It feels weird to have the screws that loose especially on a big vibrating machine but it works.

Both mine leak also. I've had the front gasket replaced but it didn't take long to start weeping again. It's funny why my last two Harleys didn't have this problem. Mine is an '08 softail. Had an 05 before that and an '96 for almost ten years with no problem. Is it something they do with the new ones?

I would bet you are tightening it too much. Loosen it up some.

I already replaced them with chrome ones, some fluid must have leaked on the the housing around the mirror stem and its slightly bubbled there.I know its only a matter of time till it flakes off. Oh yeah and the rear brake pressure switch is bad too.
