I lean towards "to each his own" so it doesn't matter to me what people actually put on their bikes...if I like it I might say so, if not I don't say anything....with that said there is some funny stuff posted here...enjoyed the thread despite the length....as for me my vote would go to anything that is mounted with double stick tape....

I like my non-DOT helmet. Some states don't require DOT and my state doesn't require a helmet. I have a shaved head, so the main reason I wear it, when I wear a helmet at all, is sun protection. It's small and light and if something does happen, it gives more protection than a doo rag and stays on better. I often pick it up for long rides in the sun, or group rides where somebody could cause me to go down, or even a ride in heavy traffic. There's nothing magical about the DOT and a toy kids batting helmet gives more protection than nothing. If it came down to DOT or nothing, I just choose nothing all the time.

I find it kind of ironic...When people talk about riding motorcycles the word freedom usually ends up in the conversation and being an individual and making your bike yours...I learned a long time ago not to judge anyone's bike by what they have on it or what they wear while enjoying the road on two wheels.

But I'm keeping that and my stereo and cup holder. At least no one has mentioned chaps or trailers.

I have to agree with GPS (not just on bikes but in general)my Dad would never stop and ask directions,he used local paper maps, or Rand Mc Nalley atlas,or hand drawn map.He used to always say "Get lost and see the town"

Not only do those little gems look lame, but the manufacturing was extremely lame as well. I would think "most" manufacturers would be smart enough to realize that casted aluminum isn't the best material to be used for a kick stand. Fortunately this was caught before the bike was found laying on it's side on the pavement.
