White tennis shoes.

No offense to those who wax nostalgic about the old days being better (I guess I'm one), but to the new guys just into it, these are the good old days as they say. I think that basically relates to the fun of "newness" and the enthusiasm that you bring into anything new - including being a "biker"- whatever that means. So you can say "better", "worse", or somewhere in between, but it is what you make of it, and hindsight will likely make it seem better than it really was.

Whats old will never be new. What was in the past will never be again. Live in today and not the past. Its easy to look onto the past with fondness yet while in the past there was both good and bad.

There is a legend in my area that, back in the mid 70s, a local 1% club picked up a chick hitch hiking and took her to a party they were having way out in the boondocks.

According to the legend, they all gang banged her, then bar-b-qued her and ate her in a satanic ritual. Ah, yes, good times indeed.

I rode a yamaha In the seventies but had trouble with the wiring harness. Got a 200 Kawasaki with two plugs in case one fouled out. But now I have an 06' superglide, so far so good. Then it was to me, get on a bike & go. Now it's take a riding class, do your systematic maintenance & then ride.

Damn dude thats pretty ****ed up..! Even by my standards...

Well if its actual bikers we're talking bout I'd say other than 10-30 years in age, longer beards, windshields/fairings, more cargo space, cruise control, more patches and MILES.. Not a damn thing! Oh and sportsters are now reffered to as "chick bikes" and jap crap is no longer crap, just jap/rice (depending who you ask)

Difference? No real difference in the bikers. There are alot of people who own motorcycles and enjoy riding and don't consider themselves bikers. You can't lump a large group of people into one persona and pose a question like that. Bikers are bikers and will always be bikers. It is a way of life they want and accept what it entails to be one. On the other hand there are tons of people who love to ride and it's all good for everyone no matter what they are and do.
