Yep. Take a hand full of pills every day and no head trip for me just less pain!

Yup.. '71 650 Bonneville. After the second zener diode burned I gave the bike to my lil brother after it sat for a couple years. He got it going and took it with him to Ak. and then sold it. If I remember right the diode was a pricey lil booger too.

T-shirt for sale at local Indy ( life long biker)- "real bikers are a rare breed, Harley owners are a dime a dozen".
I prefer his bumper sticker: " Silly Yuppie, trailers are for boats".
And my personal favorite: " I rode my bike to trailer week".
What was once a lifestyle for the rugged individual has become the latest fad for pedicured posers. ( Me? Sorry man, no biker, just a motorcyclist who started on 305 dream, ran through some other Hondas and Kawasakis, and finally bought HD just last year).

Is it my turn too bash the newbie with 12 posts?, I like the way every one came in on twisted's defense. (accused poserism). Speaks volumes of the real bikers here and the real poser. , That would be the op in this case..

One of the biggest differences I see is that in the 60's and 70's you could come across another rider and they would actually be civil. Now most if you don't actually know them act like you have the plague or something if you try to strike up a conversation with them. Not all but most. That's been my experience anyway.

as everyone else has said, my friend twizted is one of the last people I would say that too in here. Just goes to prove you never know about a person just by what they type.
That being said, there's a few of us that still try to emulate what we saw in the 70's. My dad rode and uncle rode, and they had riding buds that I got to hang around with. I wasn't old enough to ride till 79, but I do remember what I saw and was taught. Looking back now I understand a bit better why dad and mom kept getting divorced and re-married
Sure things are changing, but if you haven't noticed, the world has changed as well.
