Antique Harley show.
Went to an antique motorcycle show this weekend. kind of like a swap meet at the fairgrounds a county over. It was really interesting to me to see bikes that old. Everything was pre 1970's. I love the looks of the pan heads and knuckleheads. I saw a 1960 dou glide that i would love to own. The bad thing for me and my buddy that was with me was that we really didn't have a clue what the hell most of the stuff was. Yea it was some really nice restored and unrestored bikes but i could not tell you the first thing about classic harley. There was also alot of indians there and i decided that i really don't like indians. I can though apprieciate where harley came from and respect the people that put all there time in these wonderful machines. I'm glad they had signs on most stuff telling what it was, otherwise i would telling everyone "yea saw some old harley stuff, no i don't know what it was" lol. I think I should in enroll in skips harley education 101.

You're not the only one that doesn't know everything about old Harleys, I am in that same boat. I would like to look at the old bikes because I think some of them are classics. At least you were lucky to be able to see them, I haven't heard of anything like that around here.

The largest Antique Motorcycle show is at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport Iowa on Labor Day Weekend. I went for about 15 years in a row. Hell, even Willie G shows up sometimes.
