RE: world's fastest Indian
A non-rider friend told me about the movie. I thought with Anthony Hopkins I could atleast start watching it. What a movie!!![8D] This guy was incredible. Cutting the tread off his tires with a stolen butcher knife-what a brain. Even my wife watched the whole movie without getting up. DON'T MISS THIS MOVIE!!![>:] His record still stands for under 1300cc streamlined motorcycles. Not bad for that old crackpot that lived in his garage eh?

Hey, I ride and I'm old and I'm still good in the sack (or so I'm told by my wife). Don't give up guys-use it or lose it. Just to keep this relevant to the thread, I have ordered this movie on Netflix.

Everything everyonelse said!
Read everything I could find about him in the motor press at the time, Bert was my hero!! I wanted to be just like him; I'm keeping my 1200S Sportster to give it a shot... the plane is double overhead cams, 4 valves/cyl etc. I'm a year yunger than he was when he started.
The record he set still stands
Best to all
