Let's Talk After Market Drive Belts
I might need a new belt for a mod I would like to do. I found a place called Belt Drives LTD . They have three diffrent brands one that is NEW Called carbon fiber Falcon SPC. It says this belt was engineered by Goodyear It's only a $135.00 bucks. Has anyone heard or used this belt ????

I installed a 30t Andrews pulley and new 20mm 132t BDL carbon fiber Falcon SPC belt. 2007 softie. Early Dec, only have <2k on this belt. Paid $115 shipped, eBay place called "get_lowered". This belt Yes, it is labeled Goodyear. Wish I could give you more input. Installed a tiny bit tighter than normal and it has self corrected so to speak. No squealing or notable wear patterns.

Looks like this company has some belts that would fit depending on model year. I do know that if my rear sprocket wears out I will be contacting this company as I've heard good things about them and their products.

Try this place been getting belts for about $150 average and I use the Panther over the OEM poly chain style , they are more forgiving about things and quiet . Don't seem to tear up the pulleys as bad either .

When the belt craze started, the first belts back in 1981 were made from "Aramid" fiber and were 1 1/2" wide.
Then they upgraded to "Kevlar" ( I'm still running my original as we speak,) until 2004 when "Carbon Fiber" was introduced.
Notice how narrow the carbon fiber belts are now? Yet they're stronger than anything previously offered.
When I replace my belt, it'll still be 1 1/2" wide and it will definitely be made of the new carbon fiber Falcon SPC. That should make it the strongest belt out there, ( I hope!)

I've been running this on my 08 FXSTC since Oct. of 2010. Well over 10k on it so far and no problems.

Belt technology has has grown in leaps the last 15 yrs with all the compounds & materials available , I used to pop a primary belt a year like clock work . Suppliers & materials changed and I've actually had one that outlived the pulleys and it got hammered . Had to Ebay 2 of my spares because the getting old in box for years .

I have been looking for a stronger drive belt for quite sometime...I'm going to be put out some big power this year (170-180 hp) and i wanted the strongest drive belt possible. I actually spoke with an engineer from Gates and he said the 08s and up use carbon fiber tensile cords and that is the strongest belts currently available so, I'm going to be taking my chances with that belt.
The only other option for me was to change to a chain, but I don't like the fact that oil would be spraying up all over my rim
