The "slap" is typically what kills a good belt @ higher HP output.
On the strip we've been adding very simple mid tensioners, and a well adjusted belt that has a tensioner can take a beating and be safer than an oil-ring chain.
Some of you have seen what a chain can do if it breaks...

Looks like this company has some belts that would fit depending on model year. I do know that if my rear sprocket wears out I will be contacting this company as I've heard good things about them and their products.

I was looking at belts for another vehicle...
and some of the ads stated aramid fiber, others carbon fiber. Then there were others still that stated the aramid fiber was what carbon fiber was made from. Don't know what is true, just what I saw in those ads.

Goodyear belts
I had my original belt replaced at 77k, on the 07 Ultra, as it was cracked and missing teeth. It was replaced with a Goodyear belt. At 94k it shredded and left me on the side of the road. No more Goodyear for me.

I had the Falcon Carbon Fiber belt for less than 5K and it snapped in half. will never buy another one. Gates now has POLYCHAIN BELTS
