Ingenious ways to lash a bag without bungee

I don't like stretching bungee cords over and through my tour pack rack, seem like they put a lot of strain on the flimsy rack and tour pack lid. I've been using long leather shoe laces to tie my crap down. No possibility of scratching the paint like the hooks on the bungee cords. The leather laces stay tied, cheap, do the job.

I use paracord sometimes. Quality paracord is very strong and easily packable. You can carry 10-20' of the stuff in a pocket if needed.

I use Velcro straps. You can make your own from velcro rolls in any length or width you want. They never come loose.

We recycle a lot of Cow parts.So we use heavy leather laces..

I own a Saraceni handlebar bag, which uses straps that are attached to the bag to go around the handlebars and headlight to secure it to the bike.
