I was mainly f-ing with all the ATGATT & FF Helmet defenders when I wrote that. They alway make it seem like if you're not ATGATT then you're a deadman when you go down.

Seriously though, glad you made it through it ok.

 

That sucks! Must have been pretty bad if you totalled it. I would imagine being sore is actually pretty lucky considering the alternative. Sorry to hear about the bike.

Yes, people can be a-holes, but thanks to the third guy that stopped. Back on the road and riding. Can't beat this weather for February. 82 today, 86 tomorrow.

 

You know what I noticed about this quote?

It's only the ones who have "laid er down" who say it. Usually after laying it down multiple times.
I think it makes them feel better. Like they joined some kind of exclusive club. Like "Oh well it was bound to happen." I think it takes away the sting of "Oh ****! Am I ever a dumb *** for doing that!"

By the way. Been riding over 30 years and never "laid er down."
Never once thought I was going to either and never once said to myself, " Oh well. It is only a matter of time."

Very defeatist thinking in my opinion. But you think the the way you want to. You're the one who "laid er down."
