If the rider wouldn't be ok, really who cares for the bike?

I'd like to amend that to "A crash you walk off from on your own legs is a good one. A crash you can pick up the bike and ride home is an excellent crash"

Well, I know it's stupid, but a couple months ago I crushed my foot between primary cover and some car rear bumper (did it all by myself). First thing I thought was "****, I broke my foot", second one was "Oh, well, at least the bike is ok"...
Now my foot still pains me quite a lot... and I'm still happy the bike is ok. Yeah, I'm as stupid as that... :/
