One piece of advice - they come in 2 styles, 1 has a straight paddle a little over an inch wide and the other has a wide paddle that goes partly under your palm.
This is the wide one (Throttle Rocker brand):
I put this on for the trip to Sturgis figuring my hand would get tired traveling 1,700 miles each way. Once I got it dialed in, it was perfect and been on ever since.
It's off my bike now because of wearing heavy gloves, but will get re-installed in the spring.

I used one for a few years. Got it for my V-Star and switched it to the Road King. I liked it and used it so much that the velcro strap eventually broke while riding down through Tennessee and it's laying in a ditch somewhere now. Haven't gotten around to buying another one yet.

Love mine...When my fingers are freezing in mid-twenty degree weather @ 80 mph, I can pull my fingers into my glove in a ball and warm them up and still roll on the gas.

I have these on my Vulcan and absolutely love it. Having cruise on the FLHTC is much better, but the throttle boss helped a lot with cramping, reducing fatigue, and extending my saddle time. The Kury setup is super easy to install/remove, have a very clean look, and are well made.

The only reason I don't use one now is because I got new grips.

I like those grips

Not exactly what you were asking about, but I like the Barefoot ******* Throttle Tender. I set it up following the instructions and it works great.

I figured it was worth a shot for less than $10 and it was for me.
