Default What was your coldest ride?

This was mentioned in PROD, thought I'd throw it in the general direction of the wall and see if it sticks......

What was the lowest temperature you have ridden in? (And not around the block...)

So far, mine is 26 degrees riding to work...about 45 minutes. How about you all???

Last year 14 degrees without heated jacket 13 miles to work. Heated jacket this year, may try single digits, if it gets that cold this year. I may regret it.

One morning it was six degrees when I left for work, which is about a 30-40 minute ride. It was a balmy 17 when I went home. The ol' hands and feet were hurting that day.

I crashed on black ice back in 78, and ever since that painful experiance I try not to start out unless it's at least 5 degree C (about 40 F)

The worst was a 100+ mile trip where the ambient temp was 32 degrees F.
It was chilly with no heated gear. Seems a waste most days in central Alabama.

Couple of Sunday's ago. 30 degrees. My 11 y/o & I rode to church - about 20 minutes each way. Nothing heated. Wore masks, long johns, heavy socks, insulated gloves. No one I'd rather have ridden with.

A few years back, you know before global warming. A group of us rode to Youngstown in Nov. it was sunny and 50 when we left Akron. That night when we left for home it was about 20 deg. We hit the highway and rode 70/75 mph all the way, about an hour ride. No heated anything, just leathers. I hurt so much when I got home it took me 5 min. just to get off my bike. Good times, gooooodtimmmes!
