Default WOW..... What a trip

We just returned home (Ontario Canada) from a 8 day bike trip out of Phoenix AZ. I had no idea how beautiful it was. We rode 2500 miles went to Jerom 2 times on the twisty mountain road, had great weather, and everyone was so friendly, even 4 wheel drivers gave room for lane changes etc. All 7 of us are already planning on going back next year to see what we missed this time. My hats off to our southern neighbors. Thanks

Must have been amazing, especially this time of year.
Glad the weather held for you and you didn't get snowed in somewhere.
Post pics please!

That sounds great! Did you plan the trip yourselves? I really want to take the same trip and have contacted some touring companies. Any advice?

We did are own trip planning a lot of good luck, we bought a map at Anthem HD that had bike routes and went mostly with that, plus a few changes it was cold at the Gran Canyon there was snow along the side of the road but we dressed for it so it wasn't that bad. As I said we were shocked how good the cagers were to us, maybe it was our Ont. plates I dont know.

Arizona is a great place to ride, espiecally now when the winter weather is awesome. I did about a 1000 miles in between Christmas and New Years a little to the Southeast of where you were. Glad you enjoyed it.

Very nice. I always wanted to the Canyon during winter with snow. I am sure its a great sight. Jerome is a great town. Went there a couple of years ago, ate at a little diner with a feisty and cute waitress. She had us cracking up, especially when she started pointing out the locals and telling stories. Ran into the local police chief who was rolling into work on his Ultra. Nice guy and very welcoming.

I'm a bit tired of AZ. myself (mostly because of politics), seeing as how I've been here all my life. However, it does have some of the greatest riding you could imagine. I've been riding AZ. since 1973 and I still never get tired of the scenery. I've talked to people who have come here for vacation and couldn't believe that it wasn't the barren waist land that they had imagined. Glad you had a good time.
