slip ons...for 49.00 BUCKS plus shipping (20.00). From Hal's HD in wisconsin. Hope they haven't been eatin' to much cheese, 'cause I bought a set. Great folks, sounded like I was talkin' to somebody right outta the "Fargo" movie. They say its a clearance, I have faith, so I hope some good new in the box CS slipons arrive ready to be put on. Any one else got anything from them??

I have no experience with Hal's HD but I have used Cycle Shack slip-ons before. They used to make Screaming Eagle slip-ons, don't know about now. They were a good product when I had them. That is a great price.

Cycle Shack, they retail for about 173.00. But they say they are having a large clearance. (I hope so). They are new in the box. I wonder if they have been underwater from Katrina or flooding somewhere?!?! I am not slandering, but you know what they say ..if its to good to be...it probably is. I will let you know. They should be here by the end of the week.

uh ohh, no responses, that means everyone thinks I've been taken over the coals, or their searching for the slip-ons!! I will provide info when they show up. All I have now are the discs punched out of my mufflers (the ones about 1/2 way up). I am hoping that the cycle shacks sound alot better, what do I have to lose, other than 69.99 at Christmas time with two kids???

yaay, slip-ons came in the mail last night (UPS), and after the boys school Christmas orchestra I went into the garage to put them on. I got done around 9:50 pm, and of course I had to fire it up and take it down the road a bit...they are louder than the stocks with that disc I took out, of course I figured that. I am pretty happy with the sound, I got to get used to it a little more, a little hollow, but sounds good once up to cruising speed. Bike runs good, I already have a High flow A/C and a PCIII, so no fuel issues so far. Doesn't seem to have lost any bottom end, actually, a little more responsive. Maybe my settings on the PCIII were rich with the stock pipes, who knows.

One question though, the instructions said to use the pop rivets that came with the slip-ons, is this really necessary?? I cranked down on the clamps and support bracket, and I couldn't get those pipes to budge, but does any one think they'll really come off??

Think about how much vibration your scoot experiences while riding. Vibration could certainly rattle something loose over time that you can't budge right off the bat. Just my $.02, but I'm a "better safe than sorry" kinda guy.

That aside, glad they sound good! Enjoy!
