Wearing someone elses helmet is no better than using their tooth brush. Got to be a sicko to do it.

Ya know--I'm an idiot. I never lock my bike, helmet, or anything. Sometimes I leave my garage door open & fall asleep. Don't lock the ignition;only the forks. Never had anything stolen, but after reading the post about the bag thefts, I think I'm gonna start locking my stuff up, and I think I'm gonna get one of those kits for locking your bags onto your bike. Prolly pick it up in Daytona in March. Now I worry about them stealing my Stripper seat on my RK, or my LePera on my Fatty, or my timing or A/C cover, or any of my bling all because I read that post. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

I'd rather wear someone else's helmet than their jockstrap!

Lots of helmets, ( like mine,) have removable washable liners.

Besides, there are lots of people out there who would wear them as is, I'm sure.

I can't say that I trust my fellow man anywhere near enough to leave something I need to get home just laying there for easy pickings.

Never had a problem, but I usually lock it to my bike or carry it with me. Even more so that I have a new ff helmet. I got one of those chrome frame lock things and bolted it to my rear brake pedal bracket. It's barely noticeable and I can hang two FF on it without them touching the ground.

A couple of years ago at Americade, I left my digital camera on the seat of my bike. It was still there when I returned 3 hours later. Surprised the heck out of me.

I put my gloves and rag on my seat with my helmet on top of it, like others mentioned if someone wants it hope I don't see you take it and enjoy my stink every time you put it on. Never had a problem though, but my only concern would be getting pulled over on the ride home for no helmet.

If you leave it - they will come. I found this handgun lock comes in quite handy for securing to bike. Can pretty much latch helmet anywhere the cable threads through...

I put mine in my saddlebag and lock it. Not sure If Its an issue but I have the bags so might as well put it in there instead of on seat/handlebar. But FL has a no helmet law and my helmet wasnt expensive so I wouldnt be stuck If someone did steal it.
