Gerbing Gloves G3 VS. G5
I just purchased a bunch of Gerbing gear for me and the Mrs. Part of what I got for myself was the G3 gloves. They fit nicely and weren't too bulky but were a little narrow at the opening. They are just wide enough to stuff my leather jacket sleeves into but everything feels bunched at my wrist when I do that. I can put them on and slide my hands into my jacket and everything seems to fit fine but I'm a little concerned cold air will work it's way into my sleeves , though it's all pretty snug (I have unheated gauntlets that I've used till now).
I just looked into the T5 glove which is a gauntlet style but has 50% more insulation in it. I called Gerbing and the rep said that it was a bulkier glove.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with with the T5...especially if you've used the G3

I ran the G3 for 4 years and two weeks ago I got the T5's and they are a better glove for me. More padding over the front of the fingers and a longer gauntlet bye about 2 inches. I do like the canves gauntlet better than the bulky Gauntlet of the G3's. Here's some good reviews.

I assume you mean T5 rather than G5? Gerbings makes G3 and T5. I have the T5s but never tried the G3. I was attracted straight away to the T5 as it is a more protective glove, from the safety point of view, given that it has protections on fingers and on the palm and, like your rep said, it is bulkier than the G3. I also like the good size gauntlet that covers the wrist of my jacket properly. It can also be tightened at the end of the gauntlet for better adherence to the end of the sleeve. I find them very comfortable to wear and soft enough to operate the controls effortless. I'm not going to discuss how warm they are everybody knows they are superb on that front.

Ghira, you are correct...T5 (thanks!)
My concern is that the T5's are going to feel thick and clumsy. The G3 is not super thin by any stretch of the imagination but it is comfortable as just a glove and I think I will be able to access and feel the levers comfortably...that's my biggest concern

I believe also with the T5 you will be able to feel the controls well.
I do, but it is subjective. I'm a safety freak and understand that with a thin glove you are protected less(weather and safety) but you control the bike better. With a thicker glove you have better passive protection if you (god forbid) go down but your sensibility on the controls is worse.
I believe the T5 are a very good compromise. I can only recommend you go and try one pair at a shop. I'm very happy with them but you need to try them on and decide if they feel "right" on your hands.

With the nuckle gussets the finger flexibility is better than the G3's even though they have more padding. You will be happy with the T5's. Revzilla has a 30 day money back garrente if you dont like them but you will.
