V8 Choppers' Amusement Park on Wheels

Pretty cool, but I agree with the "no shifting, no fun" comment. Plus that 200 gallon radiator on the front just ruins it. I especially liked it when he said 500hp was just enough without being too much power.

braking and handling would be my two biggest concerns. it is eye candy and kudos to the guys who think they are cool but impractical for the average joe. i'd love to own the exact opposite someday.

Rode a few car-motored bikes in the old days and the power never really impressed me much except for some of the Porsche-powered trikes - those were frikkin rockets. Maybe they got a better way of getting the power to the tire these days?

Any questions you guys might have about V8 bikes fire away.Bought mine little over a year ago with 580hp 406" building a NASCA SB2 427" 800hp will be ready this spring. As easy as these things spin the tire, trust me the 2 speed auto is a good thing. My 155" Harley will melt the tire when powershifting making it a handful in some situations.

I have yet to see one of those V8 bikes that didn't look utterly ridiculous. I can think of a bunch of better things to so with a motor like that other than limiting it with crappy frame geometry. Are those things limited? Have to be there is no way in hell someone is using 500+ HP on two wheels with a 2-3 gear auto.
Other than bragging right to those who would care, what problem is this solving?

would i love the sound and torque of a V8 on a bike? YES!!
would i love the handling such a heavy bike with an auto gear box? NOO!
I guess one plus is that it would solve the problems of those guys not confident using the "Friction Zone" though, LOL!

I am thinking he didn't crack the throttle because he was concerned the torque might roll him over on his side.
