Congratulations to you and her.

I scored higher than my boyfriend when I took the course. He actually failed it the first time around, but that's because the instructors he had, sucked.

I have to admit that the rider coaches werent all that in my opinion. One was great but the other two werent. The one that actually taught technique and how it worked was the one that was doing all the riding demonstrations so he wasnt able to do much in that way. THe other two would stand there and say this is what your going to do, ok watch the other instructor do it, ok go do it. No how, why or anything of the sort. I had Jacki watch Ride like a Pro IV before hand and I garuntee between the MSF course and that is why she did so well oh and her competitive nature.

The Virago 250 is a near perfect small bike. Haven't been able to part with mine. (How many bikes can you ride at once?) But, I don't feel comfortable riding a bike that size on the freeway at speeds over 65. The Yammie loves to cruise through the hood at 40. At 60, it's starting to feel light and and sound busy. It does what it does as well as any small bike I've ridden except for the absolutely perfect Zundapp. (No you can't, they went the way of the Indian.)

Many people start with a small bike before getting a Harley. I would personally recommend that route. Just stay away from scooters, unless you wear armor and a premium helmet.

Second chance makes nice vests, not terribly stylish and a little pricey, but on the plus side they are bulletproof. All the cops love them.

Like I said we live in a nice lil secluded place off of the freeway but the only way to get west of us is to take the freeway 2 offramps which are about 7 or 8 miles down the road. I want to get her a small bike to start but that is my issue with the small putt putt.
