I ordered from leather up many times: jacket, boots, helmet, gloves etc. Always very satisfied. The jacket I have is similar to the one you posted. I've had it about 3 years now and it has held up very well. It does run a little small though.

 

Ive had very positive experience with them, because I always read every one of the feedbacks-helps alot with sizing etc.

 

I think some of the sizing issues mentioned are because the jackets are probably imported. Its a pretty easy thing to make something when measuring the chest. But those little Asian and Pakistanis just don't have the girth us well fed Americans do.

 

To the OP. I've learned the hard way. Make sure you get a "top grain cowhide" jacket. You've heard the saying "leather is leather"? They LIE!!!!

My experience with Leatherup wasn't so good.......not a jacket but a helmet. Purchased a helmet, I used the helmet size chart Leatherup attached to the helmet I wanted to purchase. When the helmet arrived the it was too small, I sent them an email and they said I would have to pay to return it.......so I did, $12.00 no big deal, but when they received the returned helmet they told me that they were out of stock and would return my money. What they don't tell you is that they don't return the original shipping cost you paid them........so I basically spent ~$18.00 for nothing. If they would have told me they were going to refund only the original helmet cost I would have kept it and sold it on eBay or something.

My experience........doesn't mean it's always like that but I'm not shopping there any longer, plenty of other places to buy motorcycle clothing.

 

I got burned by them when I returned a pair of chaps! Still waiting for a refund....about 2 years ago now! NEVER again from Leatherup!

 

Thanks for the heads up on jafrum, went there they had a specific tall jacket in the style and size I wanted, perfect and in stock as appose to leatherup, looks like my order will be coming from jafrum now.
