Ok, so the dealer has screwed me, I was going to pick up my Fat Bob tomorrow , received a email yesterday saying it wont be in till the end of the month, had a ride planned tomorrow with a mate who is picking up his Fat Boy Lo.
Now I have been offered a 2011 Fat Boy Lo at a good price from another dealer, my current dealer has offered me a 2012 Fat Boy Lo with a much smaller discount.
I'm already getting the stage 1 kit done, just wondering if there is much of a difference between the 96 & 103 motor? I thought that was the only difference between the 2011 & 2012.
Another dealer again told my mate he thinks the 96 was a better motor.

 

I'm not sure either the 96 or 103 is "better" other than the extra torque of the 103. If it were me, deciding between the two would depend on the amount of the discount. But you also have to ask yourself if you'd really rather have the Fat Bob. I know you want it now rather than in a few weeks, but it's worth it to wait if that's really the bike you want.

 

I have a 96" & have ridden the 103. I felt MY 96 had a little more power,prolly due to the cat in the 103 (My 96 is an '07). Dunno about a catted 96.

 

96-103 are the same motor 96 with a top end kit make it a 103 every thing else is the same as far as motor probley other changes but not the engin
