Thumbs up

I've found that they do adequately heat my hands, but I've never had them anywhere too warm. Same results as op, the liner will roast you.
I guess I would turn the gloves up a little more if given the chance, but I've been comfortable to the mid 20's @ 75 mph.

The guy that sold me my T5 told me they are not great at all when it rains heavily: they will absorb water slowly. He suggested to treat them with some waterproofing spray... which reminds me i haven't done it yet

I treat them at least once a year or before going on a road trip, but I think some of the elements might have burned out or something because I think they used to get warmer. Still they never got as warm as the jacket, the jacket gets so warm it feels like it might burn you.

Keep in mind that I went almost 2 months ago! They had a complete Gerbings display. I decided to buy a Gerbings setup (vs HD) because Gerbings makes their jackets in long sleeve sizes also, HD doesn't. I went with the HD dual controller because it was less expensive AND came with the pouch. Call them first!

Two weeks with my T5's and this is my thought too. Maby when the insulation compacts a little they will be hotter. Its about 25 when I leave the house. I remember when my G3's were new and I never had a controller that they would darn near burn my hands till I got on the freeway. Dont get me wrong I really like my T5's.

EricD, I heard so many people talking so well about Gerbing's customer service. A close friend of mine had a pair of old G3 and one of them stopped working. He called Gerbings up, he sends them the gloves, they send him a new pair of the new model G3 for free.
Now, I don't want to build up too many hopes, but if i were you I'd invest in a phone call and explain the problem , you never know..

Default Gerbing Heat

A couple of months ago, I went to a meeting on the bike early in the morning. It was in the high 20s to low30s and I had both my jacket liner and gloves on. My jacket liner was really warm but my hands, while not cold, never really got warm. Long story short, I took the whole set up to my local Gerbing dealer and while there, everything worked great.
If you go to the Gerbing web site, there are some FAQs about why things don't get as warm as they used to. The crux of this biscuit is the wiring harness and the connections from the controller to the jacket. The little split connections in the male plug had been kind of bent in toward each other and wasn't making good contact with the jacket wiring panel. Made sure all the connections were as delivered from the factory and now it's good to go.

Thanks for the info. Definitely will call first. Already went on a Gerbing wild goose chase back in November and learned the hard way to call first.
