I bought the Shoraipower for my 103 FXDXT; was told a couple of things:

1. Do not use a charger with a pulsing/desulfating mode
2. Battery will put out full voltage when starter is being used, as opposed to dropped voltage under heavy draw on an AGM battery; more starter heat if used too long

We are under cover of dark, cold winter right now so haven't put it in my bike...but looking foreward to more cranking power, quicker recovery and less weight. I have the single phase charging system on my '01 and want to keep it stock...this battery and led lighting, including headlight will work fine I'm sure...

Thanks for that I'm running a bit over 11-1 compression @93" and the AGM just doesn't do it even with the hot damn Big ***** starter hence my kicker . I don't mind shelling out the bucks if I know it'll do the job . Agm worked about 6 months before it fell on it's face .

The Ballistic is a last option here , I'd have to make a battery box and cover for it or change my pipes out , it's a bastard shape that won't fit mine without a barrel of flying monkeys . If I knew hands down it was up for the job no problem , too much extra work for an " IF " .

No, but I would try one because you can never have a big enough battery. I just bought a 500CCA battery for my kid's Honda Civic and it rolls over nicely in 15*F temps. I always buy the biggest battery I can find, especially for motorcycles and boats since it sucks being stuck in either one.
