Harley Rental Question
Does anyone have experience with renting a Harley from a dealer? Ive been planning a trip in my head for awhile, but due to work restrictions, I think it would work well to fly somewhere, rent a bike out on the west coast and do the tour that I have been planning..
Anyway, does anyone know if it is possible to rent a bike from a dealer (say in Arizona) and return it at another dealer (say San Francisco Bay Area). I know with rental cars, you can do this, and a fee often applies to do it that way, but was not able to find any info on the Harley rental deal. Is this a dealer agreement? Or are the dealers just kind of brokers for the Harley Rental Program? If the latter, I would think they would allow it to go from one dealer to another. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you!

Estimate is $123 per day, includes 2400 miles, another $7 per day for "environmental recovery fee" (whatever the hell that is!), $375 drop off fee, and $197 sales tax... for my 8 day plan (just used to get a price quote), would total $1,610 for the 8 days on a road king. Seems pretty damn steep if you ask me.
I just did a quick price quote to ship my bike from PA to AZ, which was $829, I bet I could get that lower if I researched it more. Assuming the same amount to ship it back to PA from CA, I could be riding my bike out there..
Hmmm. more to consider now. Any other companies like eaglerider??
