Thanks ...I have a heated jacket liner and gloves from Warm & Safe and must agree I love them. Have been using chaps, but just seems the full pant would make more sense in the event of finding the asphalt again

You asked about leather but I'll comment about textile. Tourmaster Venture has a removable quilted lining that I have not needed even down to 35 degrees and a bit foggy in the WV mountains. Not sure how low the added liner would give me.

Davepa, i bought a pair Firstgear overpants at motorcyclegear.com for the $165. I wear 34 waist jeans and purchased 36 waist pants so that I could wear some type of clothing under. They have rubberized zippers and treated leather with inner thigh vents, I use suspenders just makes it all around easier. 10 Year warranty, I have used they warranty for a replacement zipper on an Jacket I have. Best money I ever spent!

Some good recent discussions about leather jacket/coats along with heated gear etc.
Chaps pros and cons have been beat on pretty good as well........
I'm looking into leather overpants...some discussion of the Fox Creek
Anyone happy with the Firstgear?

Thanks Dave

I have the LeatherUp Xelement overpants and they are killer - you should definitely check them out...here is a link: http://www.leatherup.com/p/Leather-C...aps/54767.html They are only 81 bucks with the 10% off new years coupon code advertised at the top of the page now. And I will go ahead and say it now before the naysayers pipe up...as with most of the LeatherUp products, you have to see this stuff to believe it - the overall quality and thickness of leather is outstanding and you will be very pleased with your purchase!

Over Pants
If you're not hooked on leather, LL Bean has some Goretex pants that can be over pants or used just with long underwear. They have zippers that go all the way up from the boots to the waist. The have pass-throughs so you can get to your pants pockets underneath. They have suspenders that will detach and built in gaiters. Since they are Goretex, they are water and wind proof and will breath. I think they are priced about $130.00.
