Who Makes a Lift/Jack/Stand That Just Supports the Rear of the Bike?
I have a J&S jack for my Softail & Street Glide that works great.
Does anyone make just a stand that just supports the rear of the bike when the rear wheel is removed?
Could I get away with simply using automotive jack stands?
Thanks

I'm concerned the J&S jack will get in the way when replacing Softail shocks.

On my gixxer I have spool stands, but the bike is also 350 lbs, I can't picture something like this on harleys.
When I lowered my fatboy I used a harbor freight bike lift with 2x4 pieces where it hits the frame, cause it will hit the shocks. Jacked it up, and put a floor jack under the rear tire, removed the shocks, jacked the tire up into the fender where I liked it, put on the new shocks removed the floor jack, lowered the bike. Test road, took like 30 mins.

Oh and don't do the jack stands thing, it's sketchy. I've done one worse though, changing out the sprockets on the gixxer I had spools on the bike but didn't have the spool stand, I put two milk crates next to the spools and picked the back of the bike so the spools layed on the crates, removed the tire, sprockets, chain, put all the new stuff on and back together, but it's super sketchy. lol

Get one of the small scissor jacks like you use on a lift table, I would bet that it would work, but you would be on the floor doing it.

I have one of these and love it. It gets the job done for all the small work I do. Especially great for removing a wheel.
