Tennessee law is blade cannot exceed 4 inches. Longer than that and it's jail time.

In Kentucky, you can't carry any knife too big for you to pick up - otherwise, anything including a sword is fine, worn in the open, and an "ordinary hunting knife" can be carried concealed with no permit (and, of course, any weapon from a switchblade to a machinegun can be carried concealed with a permit, or in the open without).

Like someone else said.. if I'm wearing pants I'm carrying a knife.. either a Kershaw Ken Onion with spring assisted opening, or an Emerson CQC7. I have the CCW permit as well. The regular carry guns are either a "tuned" STI Ranger II or a Kahr P45.

I've been riding over 30 years. I have traveled many miles in the US, Canada and Mexico and have never carried a gun, knife or any other weapon. Never had need for one.
