Default signal light

Flashing faster than normal. it is only on one side and when I hit the turn signal it starts flashing normally but then picks up speed? Don7t know anything about how this works but something is messed up.

I recently had a front bulb go bad on the same side and switched it out. Never noticed anything until today while behind a car at stop light I could see it flashing way faster than normal....any info would be appreciated!

1. Make sure the bulb you replaced is the right one, not just that it fits, but the correct part number.

2. Take the bulb out and put it back a few times to ensure you have good contact to the filament, and good contact with the socket ground.

3. Check all grounds - a fast flash indicates an issue with increased resistance.

It means you have a trouble code stored in the ECM.

My right blinker does that sporadically. It is a loose connection in the housing. Turning it off & back on it works fine. I need to fix that.

Where did you get that information? Trouble code storage on my bike is displayed in the time period it takes for the engine sign to go out when you power up the ecm. The longer the light is on the more codes stored I believe.
