Default count the times you have fell off your scooter

was reading another post about "going down, went down"
I prefer to say "fell off my scooter"
dunno probably just me .

anyway , my personal count is eight.
Im not counting any dirtbike days,
just street "get offs/ fall downs/ crashes".

three of them were being hit by two cars, and one semi-truck.
one was hittin a car. (mybad)
the other four were failure to maintain control of the vehicle.

I may have forgotten about some , but this is from 1952 to present.
hope the next fifty nine years dont enclude any..

Happy new year everyone

Street Bike once.
July 9th this year low side slide broke both arms and left leg, surgery on leg and dislocated broken shoulder.

Walking without a cane now and can not wait for spring to get back on the bike, I really do not plan on doing it again.

Once. About 15 years ago I stopped at an intersection on a hill, covered with gravel. when I pulled out I spun in the gravel, surprized I left off the hammer and at that second hit bare pavement...... Bike stalled and I didn't get my foot down. Cost me a mirror, A grip, and a turn signal. The bike was eisier to repair than my pride. lol.

1 in 7 years. Did not 'lay it down' or 'go down'. My dumbass treated a wet roundabout like it was dry and slid into home....

I only have one but then again im only 19..but it was when i was 16 i just converted my dirt bike into a supermoto and decided it would be cool to ride down the highway at 65 and cut through a soft dirt field, it wasn't. I was fine but my bike wasn't to happy. Probably won't be doing that on my Harley though.

Well, I don't know about "fell off", but I pulled off a country road into a parking lot that was sloped away from the road, to put my gloves on. I stopped and with the slope, the bike leaned just a bit too far to the right and before I knew it, it was going down. Controlled the fall as much as I could, but there was no stopping that big bike. Fortunately, no real damage, just to my pride. Quick look around to see if anyone saw and I hefted it back upright. This was before I knew about the 'right' way to walk your bike up, so I just muscled it up - failure was not an option.

Those same roads spread fine gravel over the tar joints and going around the corners was a very scary thing.

The lesson I learned that day was, it's a very heavy bike and when you drop it, you damn well better be able to pick it back up again.

At least 4 times that I know of. All while stopped or while turning at slow speed. Just being stupid and not paying attention. For a time I was replacing my clutch lever much to often. I have at least three brand new brake levers because I never dropped the bike on that side. I think I finally have it all together and haven't had an incident in 12 months.

I'm a new rider at 41. I dropped my bike twice. Once while standing up at a stop light, I took both hands off the grips and down she went. The second time as trying to make a U-turn in my driveway, I grabbed too much front brake.
