Default DOT helmet

Does anyone make a DOT half helmet that sits down on your head and doesnt make you look like a tool? Ive got an HD helmet that I bought the day I took ownership of my bike, but have never really like the way it sits up on my head. I would like to find a DOT helmet that looks like a novelty helmet if you know what I mean.

Licks makes the Nov-dot, but it's not a beanie. There's a TON of threads on this subject; do a search and you'll find 'em"

Good luck in your search but the truth is, if it is DOT it's going to have a mushroom effect. Some people and manufactures will claim that it won't or it is the smallest DOT on the market. Some are smaller then others but none will give you the novelty look you are after.

I have the Daytona Skull Cap. Like Misbehaven said, anything with DOT on it is going to ride high. My Skull Cap isn't to bad IMHO...

I use the Biltwell which is a novelty helmet but have been hearing the Bell custom 500 is DOT & sits the closest to your head? yet to view & try one on myself but thinking of going that way.

I wear the Custom 500 3/4 and I like it a lot. Best helmet I've ever had. It's really light and fits great.

& does it fit fairly low? Or does it still look really big still like other DOT helmets?
