Hire some folks to help out with the call volume.
Absolutely...As a business, you know you have to gear up for the holidays. If that means hiring temporary help, then so be it. I'm guessing this isn't their first Christmas.
Repeat customers like OP are the lifeblood of any company...As they are free advertisment and will likely recommend their products if satisfied.

Try a local BMW dealership. They carry Gerbings. About two years ago I tried ordering a set of gloves and controller at this time of year and got the backorder excuse. Hey Gerbing, do you see a pattern here? Build up some backstock.

So I call them the other day and get a recording that says their having a high volume of calls, to leave name and number and they WILL return the call. So a couple of days goes by and no stinkin call back. So I call several times today and hear some crap about phone answering machine is full and no further number or action I can take.

My buddies wife calls asking about my progress and I have to tell her that this GREAT company I yacked to her about wont even take my phone calls. What the crap is wrong with these people. Must be resting on their laurels or something. Thus....my vent!
Don't know what time you are calling, but you might try right after their opening PST. I have nothing but praise for Gerbing. Last year as the riding seson was ending, the terminal on the inside of my liner was getting hotter than norma. Sent the liner back, got a new one and they sent an equipment for my trouble.

I think you need to chill.

I'd say well intentioned, but swamped. That's my guess.
I don't think they make HD gear anymore.
HD gear now labeled made in CHINA.
Seems they parted ways?
