My buddy's got a 99 RKC + that sucker will outrun the 96CIs. Also gets about 55mpg all day every day. Not sure if it's just his or they're all this way, but great bike. Congrats, hope you have the same great ride he's had.

They are indeed beautifully balanced. I ride mine in and out of London every day. For a bike of this size and weight, they are wonderfully easy to manouvre. Truly, a majestic ride!

I just turned 50,000 miles on my 96 RK taking it from Jersey to Flordia. Great for long trips do it every year.

Test rode a Triumph Rocket and then a couple of days later I tested a Road King. I too was amazed at how well the RK handled at low speeds. The Rocket felt like the Queen Mary compared to it.

Congrats on the Road King.

My '99 RK has been, and continues to be a fun, and super reliable bike. Of course I had the tensioners changed out and put in an Andrews 21 cam. My bike is carbed and with the cams has no problems keeping up or passing by the 96"rs.

Enjoy your bike.

Congrats on the bike, there's nothing like a Road King. I have a buddy with a newer Softail with a 96ci, and I can walk away from him at will with my 99 RK. of course his bike is all stock and I have a stage 1...

I really appreciate hearing how great your road kings are doing--It gives me hope that mine will be the same-I just found out last night how the heel shifter works lol.
