RE: Metzler Reviews ?
I run the Metz ME880 also. I put a 140 on the back of my UC with no problems. Seems to make it last a bit longer too and the ride and grip are great. Much better than the stock dunlops. I'll put another set on when I wear these out.
I've heard the Avons were great but short lived. While the extra grip would be wonderful, I don't push my bike real hard but do put miles on her. often two up. The Metz are perfect for me.

I like the Metzlers, had them on a previous bike.
Now though, I Continental Conti-Tours.
Better wet grip than all of them, much better handling than the stock Dunlops, and they may be on par with Metzlers and Avons in that department.

I can't speak from personal experience, but the indy shop I use for my 02 fxdl prefers the Metz to the dunlop. I have a lot of respect for this guy, he is a former Harley tech, very experienced and HONEST. It's just his opinion, but there you go.

My vote is for Metzler 880s. On a narrow 21" wheel like my FXDWG they make me feel much more confident in grip. No more of the Dunlop groove wiggle that their "F" thread in the center causes.

I've got an FXDXT, put a Metz 880 on the front. Much better handling, and eliminated the groove tracking that the Dunlop had.
Plan to put an 880 on the rear, but the dunlop that's on it now is almost new. I can't speak highly enough of the Metzeler.
