If they would have paid all of us the actual awards it would have been the end of the Hoka Hey.
then that would have really exposed it as a scam then eh?

statements like that make it even more of a joke...............or as one could say "hokier"

It said a traffic "violation" not a citation. If I exceed the posted speed limit going to the store I have "violated"/dis-obeyed the traffic laws. Just my take and I'm not defending the Hoka Hey. I rode it. twice (finished once) and feel that if ya don't follow the rules, you should be DQ'd.

That having been said.....I also feel that the route in 2011 made it impossible to ride it within the stated rules and finish by the deadline. I also feel the deadline should be done away with and just make it who ever gets there first (within the rules) is the winner.

No disrespect to those who participated in 2010 or 2011, but this clusterf%$k just needs to go away. Hokie Hey 2012 will just be another Redcloud scam just like 2010 and 2011.

I am contemplating doing 2012 Stampede. I am trying to rearrange some stuff at work so I can have a week prior to soup to nuts the bike and get to the start point, time to do it and time to get back to west coast.

My apologies IA. It did say traffic violation and then showed a police car. I am not aware of all the rules that are involved so I should not have made that assumption. I would agree that the route/time frame was ridiculous and dangerous. I agree if the rules are in place, straight forward and concise, then if you break them... You get DQ'd. I can see where they are going with the point if they paid out there would be no more race. The officials(police) would put a stop to the "Cannonball Run".

I met Mike Fox at a truck stop in Medway Me. He was heading home from Nova Scotia. Nice guy, happy to talk a bit, lots of energy. He said he planned on winning the next HH. My respects to ALL the HH riders.
