This had me on the floor!

Think I'll pass on 2012. I had to start all over on my book because I've decided to make it a comparison between the two. Kind of a Jekyll and Hyde take on the whole thing.

I didn't know they couldn't speed in the 2011. I thought the rule was, you couldn't get a speeding ticket. Big difference there since we all exceed the limit on occasion. No way would I pay to lose. Heck I can through my money away by giving it to the local bums.

I just went to the link Schu posted and watched a video at the bottom right. Said that "You must obey the law. A traffic violation will disqualify you." I don't recall the winner getting a ticket for anything. Very misleading. The more I think about this, the more it aggravates me.

This was posted in the coments on the link Schu gave.

Mike Fox

I was one of those 11 and I have to tell you all you have no idea what you are talking about. It was not just a couple of mph's over the speed limit it was a bit more. If they would have paid all of us the actual awards it would have been the end of the Hoka Hey. Nine of the top 11 riders excepted the outcome as true and fact and understand what would happen to the Hoka Hey if we were awarded. We knew exactley what we did and like grown honest men we made the Hoka Hey bigger than us and I have to tell you it wasn't easy but it was the right thing to do! If you think it's a scam stay home next year but I can tell you if you come out, follow the rules, and beat the best long distance riders in the world you will get paid and that is the real truth! Now stop bitching and start riding and except the real winner of the 2011 Hoka Hey is everyone who rode it this year, next year, and every year in the future. "It's All About the Ride" and what a great ride it was! Hoka Hey! Mike Fox # 601.

True or not? Don't know.
