How long does a set or tires last you?
How long or how many miles do you typicaly get out of a set of tires on your Harley and what brand are they?
I have Michlens on my Dyna with about 4K miles on them. They still look like new! I dont do burnouts and such!
Im just curious about what tires are the best and last longest.

Original Michelin Scorcher 31's lasted me just over 10k miles. I've got Avon Venom tires now with about 4500 miles and they still have deep tread. I don't do burn outs either.
Edit add: Keep in mind tires that last the longest are a harder compound so traction will be decreased...comparitively.

I've had dunlops and metlzlers. Get pretty much the same out of both. 12-13K on the rear, and 22-23K on the fronts
I got a road king, and seldom ride two up.
I kinda like the dunlops a bit better, to me, the metzlers get a litle "squirrely" over white hi-way lines/passing lines sometimes..

I bought my '03 Dyna used w/ 3200 miles on it. It had the stock Dunlap 404's w/ 4/32 tread on rear and 6/32 tread on front. Rode untill inspection the following year and never really liked the feel of those particular tires. I do tend to pound the pavement and pull whole shots at random times which lead to the very fast wear of the rear tire. I replaced them both with metzler me880's and calmed down a bit on beating it off the line and totaly gave up on the whole shots obviously due to knowing the metzlers have very soft compound. I did notice a major improvement in the stickyness of the metzlers, but you have to read the manufactures distructions to get the best tread life out of them. Im pushing 8k on them now and will need to replace the rear once the snow starts to melt and I start itching to ride. I will replace it with a Metzler.

Sorry, but, cowpokey, I get stuck on your posts, your sig pic, what was the question? I run metzlers, don't get great mileage but love the ride and grip.
