How many of these could Harley sell if they produced them this way straight from the MOCO

I'm sure it will be coming, and sooner rather than later.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a Revo in an Ultra next year.

I don't believe many. Most of us want to do our "own" mods. Also between you and I, HD most likely botton line makes MORE profit on add ons and motor wear (they just buy and resell, no tooling etc. ) than they do on the bikes.

Harley is making very little on this mod. I believe it's either Custom Chrome or Drag that makes these kits. Some of the parts may come from Harley. This kit has been out for about 3 years and I've still not seen one on the road. I have seen one at a dealership and it was really cool. The problem so far is that it costs an arm and a leg to have it done. The V-Rod as a tourer is another problem because of the size of the gas tank. Either way, I'm sure something will come of it sooner or later.

It will be coming. They have 5 gal tanks now, and should go to 6 for the bagger and the crap mpg they get. Then make the TourRod. The EPA is pretty much forcing it.

I think that Harley will stay with what they currently produce & make some refinements to the existing models. I have read that the V-Rod never came near the marketing expectations & has left Harley gun shy. I don't think that Harley NEEDS to produce anything different as their market share gains every year.

if you are going to do that, why not buy a bagger to start with. V-Rod has a tank that will get you 150 miles, Bagger has a tank that will carry you 200 miles.

I hate your guts, you just cost me 220 bucks. I was looking thru their catalog and found a sissy bar I just had to have. The thirty inch bar with an eight ball on top.Hope it doesn't look rediculous but I think it will go ok with the old school look that I like with the flat black paint and pin stripes.

Good Luck

Tom
