Default Toy Run Temps

Just wondering how many folks rode and what types of temps you were facing?

We had a really chilly ride down here in southern NM. It was 42 with a light breeze when I left the house. Got up to a whopping 47 degrees. On Thanksgiving day, it was 73 degrees. Even yesterday it was 59. But last night a cold front dropped down. Figures! I decided I'd rather ride in 100+ degree temps ANY day...rather than cold.

My area had the toys for tots ride today. It was 38 Degrees at 9:30 am when I left the house. By the middle of the day it warmed into the 50's. Good day with good people!

Today was the 26th Annual SLO County Toy Run. Left the house at 43°F for a 50 mile ride to Avila Beach. Warmed up bit there and we left at 10:30 for a 45 mile run up into Creston. I think we got up to about 72 today. Beautiful day for a Toy Run. 190 miles by the time I got back to the house.

It was about 30 for a run the other day. Just put on a face cover (people thanked me too), and the medium weight gloves, no problem.

Only thing I will not ride in is snow/ice.

Two words.....heated clothes. I ride down to 40* without the heated clothes
but below that I put them on. They are well worth the money and will extend
your riding time.
