Default Any info on "Chin Skirts"

Read a piece on what is called a chin skirt. See that this is a material piece that attaches to the bottom part of a full face helmet and keeps cold air from blowing up under the bottom of the helmet.

Was wondering if there is such a thing made for 3/4 helmets and modular helmets. Have thought many times of something to keep cold air from coming up into the helmet in cold weather. Do have a fabric faceshield to velcro around my face but would like to find something that would easily attach to a helmet to do this. Any info? Thanks

Google "balaclava". It doesn't attach to the helmet but it covers your face and your neck.

My Shoei FF has a sock that comes down and you can tuck into the collar of your jacket. It's removable for summer rides.
Unfortunately the helmet's 20 years old so I can't tell you if the new ones have the same option. I've never seen another like it but would assume so...

My Shoei 1000 has a chin guard. Fits on the helmet underneath the chin. Makes the helmet a little harder to get on and off, kinda gets in the way. It does keep out most of the wind.

Default Balaclava

I have 2 balaclavas..one is wool and one is a polyester blend. Both of them do the trick about keeping the wind off your neck. In really cold weather, I have a silk turtleneck base layer I wear. That and the balaclava does the trick for me with the heated jacket liner.
