Years ago when Amf had the company,I remember going into the only Harley dealer around and saw what looked like cookie sheets used as drip pans, under brand new Harley's on the showroom floor. At the time nobody thought anything about it. The saying was invented back then, and is still used by the moco today. "They all do that".,,,

Same here. I've had 3 different Harleys, 5-12 years old, parked inside my house for a few years. Literally never had 1 drop of oil hit the floor.

I go in lots of dealerships and I'm yet to see a leak, even from a used bike.

yup...some plugged'em....we turned ours down ( had a adjustment screw ) till no oil dripped off the chain....on long runs i would open it up alittle....

in 84 i gotta FXWG....had belt drive....nice improvement IMO...

My 74 Ironhead marks it's spot. Sometimes more than others.

The Evo didn't leak, nor does the Twin Cam, except from the air cleaner.
