Sadly, not much of anything since WWII has really been fully made in the USA
Well you can thank American freedoms for that. I.E. - EPA, PETA, etc who bitched and moaned and caused taxes to be so high on manufacturing certain things (chrome, for example) that these were outsourced to a country that cares more about money than the environment.

I love and serve my country, but we all need to see the cause-and-effect of issues

I'm happy to see BMW manufacturing their SUV thing in South Carolina.

Yes lot's of parts you can buy to add on are foreign, but your 40% number is pure bullshit.
Man I hope you're right. It's something that really bugs me bad. The percentages I listed were from a magazine article years back that really stuck with me, when Victory was coming on the scene. The mag was touting how HD is not as American as people think and Victory was in fact more so. I have seen this number used since as well. I don't mind shocks, brakes and other specialty items coming from reputable makers over seas, but when I here about castings from China that really chaps my hide. Also, when I buy accessories and they always made in Singapore or China. They price the pieces like workers were paid good wages to manufacture them, but instead some kid in a sweat shop makes .80c a day. Just pisses me off.
