I enjoy riding solo, no worries, no schedule...just me, the bike and some untraveled road.

There is a balance, I also enjoy riding with my wife and also with a buddy of mine and his wife. I've never ridden in a large group and don't think I want to.

I prefer to ride solo. The only time I ride with a group is when on a PGR mission.

I always enjoyed riding alone...anymore, i only know a couple of prople who ride at all. Just got back into riding after 21 years and all my old riding buddies have gotten away from bikes. Have to agree...i love getting away by myself.

I ride mostly alone because everyone else is at work and I have nothing better to do. I like retirement at 40.

Another vote for solo from me. I have a good friend I ride with occassionally but I find being alone I stop when I want, I go when I want, and I ride where I want, and at the speed I want.

I was riding with a small group recently on a Interstate and (maybe stupidly) didn't put on my windshield (FXDL). I prefer to ride without it. Slowly but surely, the speeds kept creeping up until they were running 80 - 85 mph. My scoot has no trouble running at that speed but it literally beat me to death and after 300+ miles I was wore out. I told them at the first stop just to go on and I would meet them at the end of the day destination but they insisted on staying together. From here on out, I will meet my friends at the end of the day and take my time getting there. I may be crazy but the view of the great outdoors from an Interstate at 80+ mph just "ain't" that exciting to me. I'm planning a ride from LA (lower Alabama) to the Florida Keys and then back up through the Carolinas before heading home this summer. I will be alone most of the time and I will avoid the super slabs where posible.
Yes, yes, yes-I know experienced riders don't seem to mind the interstates, but to me (a new rider with only a thousand miles under my belt) it's not worth it- speed is not why I enjoy riding, and the interstate raises the risk level higher than I like. I ride alone most of the time, and my wife and I ride together on the weekends-two bikes, not two-up-She loves to ride with big groups, but I don't see the charm in it. Rather be able to go when I want, at my own speed, and stop when I want.
S.A.
