Default electrical mystery

i have a 2000 ultra glide harley. good batterygood fuses. and everything seems to be fine. i can jump start it and drive. but when i shut it off i have no power whatso ever. any ideas as to what could be causing this.

The first thing i would do is remove,clean and re-tighten the battery cables.

My guess would be an almost dead battery. Sounds like your running on the generator only. See if you can charge the battery.

That's a weird coincidence. When I shut both of MY bikes off, I have no power either!

Sorry;couldn't resist. Remove your battery & have it load tested. Your dealer, or any auto part store should do it for free.

You don't understand this concept of having no power. You really do have power. As a matter of fact, you have more power than you think...because you aren't using any at that time. Come on dickey...get with the programme.
