Default Chicago Harley Davidson in Glenview...

Hey guys, I just bought a Fatboy from Chicago Harley Davidson and I live in Minnesota so it will be shipped to me sight unseen. Anyways, just curious if anyone has dealt with this dealer. Btw, there must be at least 2 Chicago Harley Davidson dealers and this one is in Glenview. Thanks for anything you can tell me about them.

Hopefully they are better as a dealer than they are as an internet sales company. You should have researched them a bit better. I had first hand experience with them, starting when I used to recommend them...which I no longer do. Hit that red search button from time to time.

Enjoy the FatBoy...great bike!

Thumbs down I didn't like them

Tried to order from them for parts for my Lowrider...very unprofessional customer service people. I would never buy from them. They suck IMO.

Thanks for the links, Torquey. After reading through some of the threads its apparent that lots of Harley dealers need improvement. Btw, I think there might be 3 "Chicago Harley" dealers in and around Chicago. I wonder if all of them have poor ratings. Well for me, I'll have to wait and see how fast they ship the bike and if the bike is in the great condition that Jerry described. I checked online for feedback for them before buying the bike and they had 6 complaints with all but one being resolved. I'll report back as soon as it arrives. Thanks again!

FWIW, this is the Fatboy I just bought.

the other "Chicago HD's "are probably just clothing, accessories. I was at the one downtown and they don't have motorcycles.

There's only one Chicago Harley, they moved from the north side of Chicago to Glenview, the one downtown is clothing only.
There is no Harley Dealership inside the Chicago city limits that I know of!

Smart of them to get out of the city limits... Taxes there are a complete rip off, I try not to buy anything in the city limits any more. However, if you reside in Chicago and purchase a Harley from any dealer in the state, You still pay an extra tax for that privilege to the city.

Weren't there any Fatboys at a dealer near you? I would NEVER buy anything sight unseen, even new. Bought a new car that way once. After I took delivery, I found acid rain damage on the top & trunk & touch-up paint on the door,as well as dings on the hood. That was 20 years ago. Never again. Last couple new bikes I bought, I even test rode. I don't trust nobody or nuttin'!
