Rode today with my PGR brothers, escort for the 10th annual Angel Ride in Fairhope Alabama, (http://angel-ride.org/) every PGR ride has been an experience, this was the first one that was for charity and not for a fallen warrior brother. Lot of bikes, no idea how many but most I have seen in one place. Check out http://www.patriotguard.org/ we don't confront protesters, we are peaceful, but our pipes do help to drown out any protests that might arise.

Hour and a half to Fairhope in chilly 47 degree weather, still getting used to my RK, especially with gloves on, we usually meet up at a restaurant to head to a mission, bite to eat, ride brief, then Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer. We were in front as escort for all these bikes, people waving at us from the side of the road, definitely a better mood than a funeral escort with people standing with their hands over their hearts or saluting. Bikers honking at the kids waving, my horn was inop so I would rev my pipes at the groups of people and kids. Fun day.

I have also joined a few months back and have not yet had a chance to participate. I am surprised at the amount of e-mail notifications I get on a daily basis. Was not aware of the number of Missions the PGR attend. I am if I could try to explain correctly "somewhat apprehensive" about my 1st attendance and participation!

WTF is wrong with those westboro people. They organize and protest at soldiers funerals when it's those soldiers who are protecting their right to do so. These are very sick people.

And is the PGR strictly american or canadian join. That analogy in the first post brought up something inside and if there is someday I can contribute I would like to. Thanks for the link. There is a Canadian faction. I registered. Thanks guys for bringing this to my attention.

The HONOR of rideing with the PGR is one of the best things I have done. To those of you who are waiting to go on your first ride be prepared for the need of sunglasses. To witness strangers showing respect to a fallen soldiers family reaches your soul.

Simply outstanding, the efforts of the PGR. It takes a very special person to stand firm while lunatics disrespect our fallen servicemen and women. I know I couldn't do it.

It is our choice
It is our Honor
It is our Privledge

to do anything less would not be to our Honor. no matte how much we migh want to we will not.

We will stand tall
We will stand silent
