Harley MT500 dirt enduro???????
Hey im new here,
But I found a Harley MT500 on Ebay and I have never seen this bike before. Is it a real Harley??? I thought this would be the place to make sure of my purchase.

I want to bid on it, but want to make sure im getting a Harley.

A 99 HD dirt bike? No such thing, unless they are trying to prototype things behind everyone's backs. Harley was trying to get into that, but by buying KTM (who passed).

Strange,,,,,I could be wrong but HD stopped making dirtbikes in the late 70's.Plus i never seen them make a four stroke motor.

It's for real. HD "branded" them, but I don't remember who made them. IIRC some were sold to the military.

Rotax made them. Looks like outdated dual shocks and other features reminecsent of an early 80's enduro. Other than a curisoity and possible collectible factor...I don;t see its purpose.
You'd be happier and richer with an XR600, but get what you like.

It is a real "Harley".
They only let the dealers have like 200 of these Military only bikes. Pretty cool, I knew they were out there never thought I would see someone crazy enough to put one Ebay. I would hold onto that thing.
