A death has happened, while the young man was in the act of a felony.
Don't think he'll be charged with murder, more like manslaughter,,,,or criminally neglegent homicide

Often the risks outweigh the chase....commom sense does not prevail once again. Ya gotta let the odd one get away, that's life! We must accept the possible consequences of our actions, right or wrong.

Anytime you or someone you are with is committing a crime and someone dies as a result of the criminal actions, you are responsible for that death. Even if you're with a person that pulls the trigger and you don't have a gun, you're just as guilty. With that said, if you are not directly responsible for the death you stand a real good chance of cutting a deal for yourself.

I cannot judge the Trooper's decision on whether to chase the man on the bike or not. I was not there and do not know all of the circumstances or the Trooper's Departments General Orders on Vehicle Pursuits. What i do know is that the man on the bike is required by law to stop when command to do so by a police officer. He made the decision to break the law and run. His actions being reckless and negligent directly led to the death of the Trooper, therefore his is responsible. He is lucky it is only a vehicular manslaughter charge his is facing and not negligent homicide or worse. I'm sure that the Trooper has a family that miss him very much, and if the ******* on the bike had made the right decision and stopped the Trooper would still be with his family.

CHOKE ON THAT

Fleeing a law enforcement officer in a marked unit with lights and siren activated is a Felony. ANY death that results during the commission of the felony, whether or not it was intentional or premeditaded, is murder. The charge is often pled down to manslaughter. However, it does constitute murder according to Florida State statute.
