Registration & Insurance Card storage?
#22
On the Dyna - an empty prescription drug bottle (they are water tight) and the bottle is in the fork bag. On the Ultra, a zip-lock bag in the tour pack. On the wife's Sportster, a zip-lock bag in the saddlebag.

It blows my mind how often this comes up and how many people need assistance trying to figure out where to keep a couple credit card size pieces of paper (wallet? Or maybe your purse, if that's what you prefer to carry). I'm all about helping guys out here, but really?

Hope this question isn't too dumb, but I am a first time Harley owner and I was wondering what everyone does with their Registration and Insurance cards. I've owned bikes for 30 years now (Buell, BMW, Yamaha, Honda) and I've always put my paperwork under the seat. My new bike is a 2009 Fat Bob and the seat is bolted on, so I don't think I will be putting it there any more.
So where do you usually keep your paperwork?
Thanks,
clang

I fold everything up and put them in a registration wallet I got at the auto parts store and keep it in in my saddlebag.

I'm confused about the part of your post that I bolded. How do you get stuff ripped off and claim it was totally your fault? Did you ask to have them stolen? Did you grab the perps hands and force them to break into your bag and pull out the glasses? If that was the case they weren't stolen, you gave them away. If that wasn't the case.....it wasn't your fault.
You could have neon signs advertising and pointing at your bag with the Oakley's or whatever in it and at best only be partially at fault, even if you were in an area known for thievery. There is no excuse for lifting someone else's **** period. They knew it was wrong when they did it or they would have tried to do it in front of your face, even then 9 times out of 10 they still know its wrong.
I hate it when someone touches my stuff without asking.....its not cool at all. Ok, venting off.
