Default Premium Tour-Pak Hinge Kit and Alignment

Had one of the latches break last week. I've been meaning to replace the hinges. They rattled like crazy.

So I ordered the Premium hinge kit from Harley and Bought new latches from tradnovich on ebay.

Got everything installed and for some reason the dang lid is not coming down to the latch square. The lid is offset to the left about 1". Can't see any way to adjust either.

Anyone used these hinges and come across this kind of problem?

I got them on my '09 Ultra. No problems at all. Shouldn't need adjustment. They fit right back in the holes the original hinges were in.

The only way that could happen I can see is if you didn't enlarge the holes enough and the little posts didn't pull through the holes.

I've installed two sets. No issues and no need for any kind of realignment.

No problems with mine...It helps to have an extra set of hands for final assembly.. Maybe you should take it apart and try again.

Cant believe that the hinges could be the cause but try switching the hinges. If the off set is then to the right, one of the hinges are messed up and they should exchange them for you. Let us know what ya come up with. this is certainly different.

I checked when I had them off swapping them. It seems to be the right size.. If swapping them doesn't work I'll open the hole up a little more.

I did try this. It did seem to help. It's not cocked as far. With the old hinges they were worn out so much they rattled.

Not trying to be a smart *** but could be the tour pack itself is a little out of wack from the worn hinges.
